Job Description & Tasks

Scienta Omicron is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Product Manager (PM) to lead our ambient pressure XPS product line.

  • Market and opportunity analysis, business case creation, technology requirements, developing & implementing roadmap/strategy
  • Work closely with R&D, sales, marketing, production and service
  • Interface & visit customers, for technical sales support as well as understanding their future needs
  • Define custom solutions together with engineering, R&D, and software teams
  • Collaborate with PM across other segments for a seamless offering
  • Review Technical Contracts
  • Manage the product line through the product lifecycle from initial idea to end of life.
  • Analyze and report product performance and apply data-driven decision making to recommend tactical operational actions
  • Key success metrics include revenue growth, portfolio profitability

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Advanced chemistry or physics degree
  • Fundamental knowledge in surface reactions, catalysis, battery chemistry, corrosion or similar
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 25%
  • Business fluent in written and spoken English
  • Self-starter with the ability to implement plans with initiative
  • Understanding of tactical aspects of revenue, market share, and margin targets.
  • Strong skills in presentation and demonstration, including creation of professional and easily understood written material
  • Solution orientated, entrepreneurial, hands-on mentality, with a good sense of costs and customer values
  • You are either an experienced material science physicist or a senior product manager, willing to learn the other trade

 

MERIT IF YOU HAVE

  • Experience in instrument development and photoelectron spectroscopy,  ideally with background in ambient pressure XPS / APPES.
  • Experience from synchrotron based research
  • German/Swedish language skills
