Products & Solutions

Scienta Omicron offers a wide range of both analytical and growth turnkey solutions for surface science lab’s demanding the best available capabilities and high availability. These field proven technologies are for scientists requesting a configurable solution, no matter if a standalone System or a full Materials Innovation Platform (MIP) is needed. A clear upgrade path and vast services portfolio ensures a long product lifetime with continuous access to the latest technology and application knowhow. Simply the best choice for state-of-the-art science with proven solutions for Nobel Prize technologies.

Materials Innovation Platform (MIP)

Materials Innovation Platforms (MIPs) integrate instrumentation for growth and detailed characterisation of samples in-situ. Not only is sample cleanliness preserved by maintaining UHV conditions, but analysis and growth can be done at intermediate process steps and performed far more rapidly than if the instrumentation was separated.

Electron Spectroscopy

In 1983 – two years after receiving the Nobel Prize – Prof. Kai Siegbahn co-founded Scienta for the continued develoment of electron spectrometers and systems. Since the start, we have been established as the market leading, most innovative supplier of high-end photoelectron spectroscopy.

Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM)

Scienta Omicron offers a wide variety of SPM techniques for UHV at variable temperatures (from 25 K to 1500 K), low temperature applications (down to 0.5 K) or for large samples of up to 4“ in diameter. These instruments are available as stand-alone components, within turn-key UHV SPM systems and also as part of multi-technique solutions tailored to our customer needs.

Thin Film Deposition

Since 1998 we have focused on the increasing demands of the growth and characterisation of high-purity epitaxial layers (MBE) combined with in-situ scanning probe microscope (SPM) and electron spectroscopy (XPS, ARPES, SAM). The MBE-series of systems fulfil the most stringent requirements of modern nanotechnology research. Therefore, our MBE systems employ state-of-the-art components for the MBE growth.
