Scienta Omicron is looking for a Software Engineer. Are you ready to take your career to new heights contributing to the growth of a company that is making waves in the international market, addressing the global race for smarter batteries, next-generation electronics, quantum technologies, solar energy, etc?

What will you do?

You will work on the development and support of the control and data acquisition software for our electron spectrometer products. This work consists of design, development, testing, and documentation of the software, as well as helping our service engineers with customer support.

The control and data acquisition software uses a service-oriented architecture and supports the Windows and Linux operating systems. The software allows controlling the electron spectrometers both with a web-based user interface and with a network application programming interface.

Who are you?

We think you have a master’s in software engineering, or similar, with at least three to five years of industrial experience. You should have experience of the entire software development life cycle and be able to manage small projects.

It is required to have experience with the languages and tools used in our development. We use C#/.NET for the control software, Angular/Typescript for the user interface, and Python for integration and system testing.  We are using Git and Gitlab for our software project management and continuous integration environment. It is also good to have experience with developing network application programming interfaces, working with databases and software deployment, hardware-software integration, and performance optimization.

You will work in a small multi-disciplinary research and development team and will collaborate with colleagues in the development projects. It is also good to be willing to take your own initiative and learn new skills required for the development work. We are an international company, so good English proficiency is required.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking company on the rise.
  • Contribute to the development of our control and data acquisition software for world leading electron spectrometers.
  • Collaborate with a diverse, results-oriented team.
