Lab10 MBE System Remotely Installed
During the COVID-19 shut down it has been a priority for Scienta Omicron to continue to deliver products and provide service to our customers. While travel restrictions have made this quite a challenge, we have come up with some creative processes to support new product installation at customer sites during this crisis, by completing the whole process remotely!
Working with a valued industry customer in Canada, a Lab10 MBE system with prototype SPM module was installed in June. The remote installation included dissembling and mating the system to the SPM module, re-assembling and adding all components and peripheral chambers, before pumping down and starting the bake.
This multi-step process was supported by video conference calls with our North America Team and took advantage of web cameras and video calls to get an overview of the lab. From here the system will be commissioned post bake and our North America Team will perform online training with the customer. After that they will follow up with a site visit after travel restrictions lift.
