You will be part of our cross functional team consisting of nine colleagues who enjoy sharing our different areas of knowledge. The role is located at our modern head office in Uppsala with approx. 50 people. In the R&D department we use a working style according to pulse methodology including visual planning.  As mechanical engineer you will have tasks outside of ordinary design work. We believe that you enjoy hands-on work since this is a must. Included in the role is also a responsibility for driving process and methodology development to improve our ways of working. This role gives you an interesting combination to gain great insight into multiple parts of the company and simultaneous creating structure by setting new ways of working.

The position will be shared between the two business units within the Scienta Scientific Group in Uppsala, Scienta Envinet and Scienta Omicron. This means that you will have a unique opportunity to work within both fields where we are active, Photo Electron Spectroscopy solutions and Radiation Monitoring Network Solutions.

We are using Inventor/Vault as our design tool so you should have experience from that or similar 3D CAD/PDM environment. If you also have simulation experience it is beneficial.
